My friend has a Passat B6 Estate I think, and whenever Im a passenger in it, the interior is pin drop silent. No creaks, no rattles, nothing. So is my tourer - as silent as the proverbial ghost - no creaks , rattles or anything  By the way no suspecting Albanian thief would nick an Insignia of any kind- they would not even know what it is - so you would be OK in Tirana with General Motors best. Maybe not so in the backwoods in Girokaster or further into Macedonia.
