Default When was the last time you saw one of these?

Some cars used to be everywhere! So when they become rare, I get quite nostalgic when I see these and sometimes I take pictures.

This car must have been a British Telecom car. I had to explain to my friends why I needed to take this picture.

Please share your sightings of cars that were once "Ten a Penny" here!

No pictures but there is a MK1 Escort in Orange that I see a lot around the area. There is also a Talbot Horizon in Beige and MK2 Astra GTE in Red. I think they are all used frequently as I see them in all weathers.

Up until recently there was a Triumph 2500 Estate that I would see on the A40 every day, I have not seen it this year so far.

It makes a lot of sense running some of these old cars, free road tax on some and so easy to repair with often very cheap parts as long as the rust can be kept away. The best bit a lot of them are increasing in value.

At one time most of us would have being able to name almost any car on the road. Not anymore though as there now so many different makes and models, the majority of which are just plain ugly.

They seemed to vanish from the roads very quickly compared to other cars....or was it just me not seeing them! , I never had that model. I had two MkI escorts & one of it's sister car the Orion, boy did that thing rot I must have kept British steel going for weeks with the amount of new steel I welded into that thing.
