Another broken spring
And this morning Deb joins the broken spring club.
Not contented with having a new rear subframe, the typhoon obviously felt the need for some new springs too.

The typhoon being a bit of a diva matey
Also maybe a heads up for everyone if still on original springs check them now as I know of alot of springs that have broke in the last few months including my own I think now the age is against them that its something to put on the to do list sooner rather than later Last edited by ricardo65; 23rd April 2017 at 07:37.. |

I hope everyone was alright! Just goes to show how lucky I was when mine broke this week and stayed clear of the tyre.

I blame the car being in axle stands for two days, that seems to upset the springs!

Mine went two weeks ago with an almighty bang as I was driving along. I stopped immediately as guessed what it was and when I saw it, the broken end of the Spring was sitting 1cm from the top of my tyre.
Someone was looking down on me that day

mine went a few months back as I was driving home from a night shift while doing 70mph, it did wake me up a little and luckily the tyre stayed inflated right up until getting it off the recovery vehicle.

I broke a front spring coming back from the airport last trip , Luckily it went centre spring and I drove home , No tyre damage !, Was a clean break too. Hadn't planned on doing the front as rears was sitting low and already had them , four springs later , and four wheel tracking done the car handles and sits completely different , Well worth the time and money spent ! , Fitted Sachs heavy duty springs on the rear as I tend to travel boot heavy !
