Apple Problems with 3G iPhone - Page 4

Sounds like a long time for exclusive access to a phone that. By the end of 2009 it will be old technology and I can't see Apple limiting their share of the market like that.

Last thing I read was that Apple had agreed specific sales quotas with o2 which, if not kept to, would result in the phone going out to other networks. It has also been suggested that Apple are not very happy with the phones being given away free with the some of the fairly cheap tariffs.

Apple have the same deals with AT&T in the states and I'm quite sure iPhone sales are well within target.

Also the deal means that o2 will get the new iPhone next year...

Apple get the same money paid to them for each iPhone. ie X amount for an 8 gb and y amount for a 16gb, so I don't think they care what bundling deals the operator do as long as they get their money.

I,m posting this from my new htc diamond, with one of those touch screen keyboards. seems like a good phone. opera is fairly usable for browsing as well,only for short bursts though and i,m sure the novelty will war off!!

just wanted to see if i could post really :-)

well just thought I would jump on the bandwaggon as regards posting from my phone. I went and got an iPhone 3g and love it.

Have to admit the firmware upgrade to 2.1 made all the difference.
