You see plenty of women in 4 x 4's hammering back at supermarkets never check behind..that was my point really.
Lost of things the more advanced driver would do, would be a fail on a test..

I look for possible hazard, including kids in the area, out of a side window on my approach to my parking spot. On one van I drove, which I had to park going in forwards into a short tunnel, then hours later had to reverse out and crossing over a very busy town centre footpath - I installed a camera looking down from the top of a rear door. Getting help to reverse, simply would not have happened. I would curse those walking with a phone clamped to their ear, deep in conversation, who failed to even notice a moving van right in front of them, all lit up and hazard lights flashing.

I installed the same camera on my 75, looking out from below my towball. I can at least see the approach of legs and feet with it there - supplementing the reverse sensor.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

They don't have indicators fitted as standard it is a option only available if you request and even then it is often not fitted to the nut behind the wheel. After all BMW or Brain May Wander are German cars.

There is a man who drives a manual car. Just wait till you drive an automatic.

It is an offence to sit with your foot on the brake pedal when stationary.

the highway code says this:

114

You MUST NOT
  • use any lights in a way which would dazzle or cause discomfort to other road users, including pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders
  • use front or rear fog lights unless visibility is seriously reduced. YouMUST switch them off when visibility improves to avoid dazzling other road users (see Rule 226).
In stationary queues of traffic, drivers should apply the parking brake and, once the following traffic has stopped, take their foot off the footbrake to deactivate the vehicle brake lights. This will minimise glare to road users behind until the traffic moves again.

Just thought of another one.

Dirt bikes with no silencers. Seriously the noise is incredible.

Well spotted and common sense any way for those who care about their driving.

Angry

My worst pet hate is cars who speed in car parks, it drives me wild!
In a busy supermarket car park, you see some idiots who accelerate hard to close to 30 mph. It is absolutely idiotic, who are you trying to impress?
The risk of running over a child or adult is huge.

I stick to 5 mph max. OK I lose 10 seconds on my journey, so what!

Also on the subject of supermarket car parks, those you use the adult and child spaces without any children.

I hate it when people get annoyed about things they think are the law when they aren't.

No it isn't. Rule 191 of the Highway Code (and it's been in there for decades) you can't pass the leading vehicle nearest the crossing (that goes for motorcycles and presumably cyclists too....)
