In a busy supermarket car park, you see some idiots who accelerate hard to close to 30 mph. It is absolutely idiotic, who are you trying to impress?
The risk of running over a child or adult is huge.

I stick to 5 mph max. OK I lose 10 seconds on my journey, so what!

Also on the subject of supermarket car parks, those you use the adult and child spaces without any children.
Agree, had an Omega and was taking my daughter to buy something, I reversed in as my daughter was getting out of the car a women drove in at I would say 25 mph, sun glasses, radio full tilt..she hit my door mirror..I called her everything I could think of at the time..she says it's an old banger no harm done..

Daughter had one leg out of the car between the door and sill..could have crushed her leg if she had hit the door itself..and this was in Harrogate to quote the immortal words of Katherine Tate..

those people who can't reverse for toffee, and insist on reversing into parking spots.

those people who can't reverse for toffee who sail past passing places on narrow country roads then have to attempt to reverse into them.

those young people with small engined cars fitted with an exhaust the bore of which is larger than the length of their tail, driving round like they're trying to kill everyone in their path

They are going to have to reverse at some point, so it's probably better to reverse in as they could do a lot more damage reversing out....?

2 .. Green wellie and flat cap brigade

IMO they are townies who move to the country but complain about cow dung on the roads and the smell of silage, wear green wellies but never get them dirty..

I have to admit, I've never met one of those people. Does it really happen? Or is it one of those freak occurrences that becomes common through myth?
