Default information required on my MGZT 260

Hi Everybody.

Can anybody help me please with some information on my latest purchase an MGZT 260 V8.

All I know is it’s chassis number ends in 000600, it was registered in 2004 and the first registered keeper was MG Rover. The service record book states it was a “Press Car”. It’s x-power grey with x-power exhaust system.

What does all the above mean. How many of these cars were made. I been told 888 but not the Rover/MG split. Also how many are still on the road today.

Any and all information would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Michael

Your car is no 600 of 883 V8s produced the colour XPG is commonly known as primer and the x power exhausts (tailpipes) were an expensive option from Mg/Rover and brings out the V8 sound the “two sixties” is the place to ask for more info, welcome to the club.

Your car was born on 22nd June 2004 so will be 14 very soon. Welcome along.

The Two Sixties is affiliated with the MGOC Michael but has a close relationship with this club, the 75&ZT Enthusiasts club and the MGCC.

You would have got a questionnaire when you registered on the Two Sixties so complete that and send it back to me.

Tim

Hi Tim

Thanks for the info. I registered with the 260 club last night and I think I was advised a moderator would vet my application and get back to me. I don’t have anything I can send you or am I having an OAP moment. This hi-tech stuff is not for me although I do try.

lol, when you got the confirmation your registration was approved it would have a link, click on the link and complete the form. If you struggle, send me an email from the Two Sixties with an email address and I'll send a Word doc to you Michael.

Default Thank you

Hi Tim.

Nice of you to help me like this. I’ve registered on the Two-sixties site and managed at last to get my post registered(about 6attemps). I’ve not received confirmation of registration as far as I can tell, so still have nothing to send you. Maybe it’s all come out in the wash I don’t know. Despite my past work experience and knowledge of computers I do struggle with some aspects of computing nowadays. If a for,er life I would install computers, networking, training etc etc but that was a former life when computers run on candle power.

Let’s see what my post reveals.

Thanks

Michael
