Ok, you should get a phone call this evening to provisionally arrange a viewing in roughly a week.
In the meantime, can you give any further details about the car - has it had any of the big or useful jobs done, like the clutch/fuel pumps/EGR valve/plenum mod etc? Is it the 115bhp or 131bhp variant (or has it had a remap at all)? Are there any serious issues you're aware of? |

Clutch - Working AOK. Never changed. (I'm one of a rare breed that changes gear smoothly and doesn't fry the clutch . . even been known to double de-clutch . . . ) Gearbox - Changes v smoothly. Drained and refilled the G'box oil at 100,000 miles, using Rover branded and specced oil (despite all the 'sealed for life' nonsense . . ) Fuel Pumps - I changed both the low pressure pumps (one in the fuel tank and one under the bonnet) at about 100,000 miles (better to fix than wait for them to go 'ping') EGR - Cleaned out, unmodified Plenum - Cleaned out, unmodified MAF - Swapped for a Pierburg when I fitted a Rover Ron "Synergy II" re-map box. I don't have the Synergy II cranked up to 11, just use it to compensate for the Pierburg MAF, but it still feels sweet Power - Can't recall the exact engine spec, but I think it is the 131 HP. Intercooler plumbing - Swapped 'O' Rings for Viton Cooling Fan - Swapped for Kenlowe Headlamp Bulbs - Changed for Ultra Brilliance from Halfrauds . . .in other words, this is a a highly practical car for a pocket money price . . Thanks again for all your interest. Look forward to hearing from you / your mate. Nod |

Good stuff, thanks for the comprehensive answer. Bit frustrating being on the other side of the Irish Sea as I can't really pop round to have a look for myself!
Hopefully talk soon anyway. |

Apologies for the thread hijack, but there's a lovely looking 2004 Zt-t in Solar Red at a dealer in County Antrim that I've got my eye on. Do you know nything about it by any chance, as it's just what I'm looking for, but miles away!

If it's the one advertised in templepatrick....xcz40, It was traded in to the dealer about 3 weeks ago. I viewed it before the previous owner traded it in. Not too bad but a couple of negatives from memory. The usuals.... Intercooler o rings (misting on pipe) 2 speed fan not working Others; Headlight washer pump not working Diesel cooler matrix at rear of car was leaking so he had it bypassed. Rear shocks recently replaced, but don't "feel right". Air con blower motor not working (no blower) I think it may need rear brake discs, but could be confusing that with another car. Some of these items may have been fixed by the dealer... I don't know, so worth asking. No real history, but previous owner had it since 6months after it was new. New front pads. Crankshaft pulley changed a year ago. Good luck. Edit: Sorry for posting on this thread
