Rover 75 cdti cutting off
Hi,
I have been checking all the posts concerning the engine cut off on a Rover 75 cdti 2005 and I did all the recommendations. But still the same problem cutting off above 3500 rpm. The T4 check a p1260 Low pressure problem and a p1190, High pressure too high. When car cut off, T4 shows above 4.5 Amp on the high pressure regulator. What I have done : Check the ECU engine, change by another ECU kit, still the problem. Change fuel pump inside tank but still the same HP pump new seals and new pressure regulator Bosch, still the same clean Map and change it , still the same Change common rail pressure sensor, still the same Change fuel filter, still the same Check injectors and change 2 of them, corrections above 0.5 and 0.8 for all of them now Could be a return fuel stuck somewhere causing this problem, or may be the HP pump itself? Please any advice is appreciated, How to interpret such a high amperage shown by the T4 on the fuel pressure regulator? MAF is disconnected by the way Thanks Last edited by Jaime; 8th April 2022 at 05:35.. |

An old and failing crank sensor has been known to start cutting out at high engine revs.

As Colvert has said I would go with the crank sensor

Beside the possibility of a failing crank sensor - does your car have the 2nd under bonnet fuel pump beside the in tank fuel pump ? If so i would check it - a failing one may be the cause of your problem
