Loads of them about, only the other week spotted one very similar, on quite a large ship moored just off the Gare at Saltburn ,getting cross decked onto a barge

Its a shame that Teesside is getting a reputation for the place to dismantle these when once we would have been building them.. I suspect the only place capable of still building them on the Tees would be Herema's

Monty1, I knew that Was just being my usual awkward self

the last topside load out on the Tees I can remember was probably 15-20 years ago out of Herema's . after that Tees only seemed to get the Jackets out of the Old Lin Din yard or where Ables are now . The Topside work went to Wallsend, Lowestoft or Nigg bay - or that was just the load outs I was on.

Its a crying shame seeing as how many heavy lift wharves we have on the Tees, some that could still be recommissioned. especially lower down the River. Ideal use for the old Coke Wharf at Redcar thats far enough down that it wouldn't require constant dredging, got plenty of room and far better transport links than those further upstream
