James! I have 2 packets of biscuits here courtesy of another owner!!!!! (he's seen your posts)

Mark (from Southampton) made the trip up to me last week for a Stat and a new Fan Control Box (motor was OK!)

Point of interest here is that you can tell if your old filter is the original element or not (see below)

On earlier cars you might find the bigger type seen on the left.
It has some sort of cotton wound in with the sponge.

The newer types are seen to the right.
