Only ever on a Pacer once, that was enough, God awful things! It was on the final leg of the journey to see friends in Torquay. Been down a few times but thankfully only encountered a Pacer once.

No not a favourite DMU for me either, There was a lot of dovetail games players wanting it though At least the Blackpool, Ormskirk. Preston route comes with a Class 08 for shunting duties & a Class 47 too.

I've been filling the suggestions page for either a Class 90 or Class 91 for months now to no avail
We've now got some of the ECML route Kings Cross- Peterborough-Doncaster which were their stomping ground & it's looking like there will be other sections of the route coming next year hopefully York northwards. to Waverley.

Need to be a masochist to want to be on an 08. Ok if all you are doing is pottering around shunting in a yard but going any distance was like going in with Tyson. No suspension to speak of and a rigid chassis, tended to treat curves like a 50 pence piece!

I've only ever been outside shunting yards once to rescue a broken down DMU unit, It was 5 miles away & took forever clipperty clopping to get there.

They put accurate suspension on the Pacer for that game & it rolls & sways just like real life.

Always remember being told there used to be an 08 lived at Galashiels down in the Scottish borders and it came to Edinburgh every weekend for servicing. The current passenger service takes 55 minutes to cover the (roughly) 30 miles, probably well over 2 hours getting battered and bruised in an 08, that's a punishment!

Afternoon all.

Been busy in the kitchen today with the Ninja.

Thanks for the comments.

Steve...Belly Pork has been made a few times in our other Air/Fryer. The outdoor one and very nice it is as well !
Phil... As the above mentioned one is for outdoor use and is a BBQ as well. Ros and I have plans to take it to the boat as and when

Both the Airfryers we have are the largest ones available so catering for larger parties is not a problem

Today I have a whole Leg of Lamb in the new one and have already made cauliflower cheese , honey roasted carrots and parsnips, wholemeal Yorkshire puddings and rosemary and thyme roasted potatoes.

Should be ready in about half an hour and I'll post photos up later (once consumed)

Lonely days are long
Twilight sings a song
All the happiness that used to be

Soon my eyes will close
Soon I'll find repose
And in dreams, you're always near to me

I'll see you in my dreams
And then I'll hold you in my dreams
