It looks like I have got to reconnect the black and green wires from the unit
Into the red socket where it looks like they were cut from originally, this will then plug onto the multi coloured plug in the car which has the blue/green, blue/purple wires going into the green block of the multi plug.
As the wires have been cut so close to the red plug, any one know how to remove the pins so I can resolver the wires back.
Thanks
Shaun
Don't make work for yourself.
Just splice the blue/orange and the blue/purple wires to the two wires that were cut from the red connector .

Job done

Default Wires

Thanks Jeff
I just thought it might make it easier to disconnect the head unit should it ever need to come out again, ( hopefully not to often) rather than hard spliced to the car wiring.
If it's to fiddly then I'll just use bullet connectors or terminal block.

Hi Shaun,

You still will be able to remove the head unit as the loom unplugs from the back of the unit

I may well have a red connector with wires still attached at work if you want to re instate it without trying to pull the pins out .

Let me know if you want one by pm with your address and I'll post one out to you this week

Smile Red plug

Thanks Jeff
As you said I can disconnect from the back of the unit, how I missed the obvious, must be age. So I'll do as you suggested and slice direct.
Thanks for the offer of another plug, but I'll try this first.

I have three questions:
i) Which of the 4 wires should the reverse signal wire should the wire fromi the unit be attatched to?
ii) What was the plug originally for?
iii) Can you connect the k-bus to the unit and for what purpose?
