If it ain’t one job it’s another.🙄
After passing mot on Saturday, I noticed the osf window was struggling to get to the top position.
Was going to swap out the regulator mechanism, but thought I’d just spray a bit of lithium grease onto the runners first. When I was at at, while door card was off, took the opportunity to remove and clean the window. And then clean the bits that the window slides through, that can accumulate dirt. Notice how I still had a “hook” on the door lock cable at this point. Not for long🤬 On reassembly of the door card, I somehow managed to break it.🤔 If anyone has a broken door lock lying around, id gladly purchase it, or even just the cable. On a plus side the window now goes up and down ok.😃 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think Arctic has a fix for that. Hopefully he'll be along shortly.

Thanks Steve, I did have a go at crimping on a hook on Sunday, fashioned from a bit of sturdy wire, but the crimp wouldn’t hold. I think the connector was probably too large. I’ll have another bash at it when I can get some proper sized connectors. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Had another bash at it using different crimp connectors, but they wouldn’t hold.
Resorted to taking the cable with hooked end from a spare door locking actuator. Now I really was loath to remove the door lock actuator from my own car, so with a bit of swearing and lot of luck, I fitted the “new” cable with lock in situ. Fiddly….to say the least.🤨 This is the end I was trying to hook on inside the door… Until it fitted like this…. All working again, including the window.😃 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
