Rear break caliper service kv6 Tourer 2001
Hi!
Must fix the brakes on the Tourer. Have had them off three times pushing the cylinders back and forth but the breaks keeps on jamming after a few days every time. Anyone knows the exact rear caliper cylinder diameter and if these are likely to fit? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-3-SERI...item4d188e37b1 Thanks in advance! JPeter |

Just to support Trikey's post - I have bought all my brake pads and discs from Brakeparts.co.uk for the last few years across a number vehicles and they have been of really good quality and value.

The OEM rear calliper seal kits are still available from Rimmers for about 11 quid.
Sadly the front ones are NLA but we refurb the front callipers by kits from Brakesint as mentioned above The quality of the rubber parts appears to be as good as OEM. Never buy the cheap copies especially when dealing with brakes! Sticking callipers are caused by corrosion on the piston which can be safely removed as long as no pitting whatsoever has formed around the sealing area surface. 1000-1500 grit wet & dry is used to clean up surfaces. Pack the piston and dust seal with a proper rubber cylinder grease (this bit is not done at the factory because they want them to corrode!) Also use grease on the outside of the dust seal to ensure all moisture is repelled from getting in.
