The door is probably the lock actuator - they are cheap (£30 for a second hand one) but a bit fiddly to fit. Nothing a DIYer couldn't do.

The clutch could be the master cylinder (£100, DIYable) or not (then your looking at more like £500). It depends what the symptoms are (you haven't said).

I would probably consider doing it if it's cheap (relative to a £1,500 car).

Default Symptoms

At first it was just tough to get in gear, but there was no crunching. That is how I drove it the 30 miles or so home. Now it is in my drive there is no resistance to the clutch pedal. I can place it in gear at rest and turn the key.

To set it straight.

The car is a cracker and in one of the best colours. It looks great, is very well kept and a good price. I was sorely tempted when it was for sale last time but I'd just bought my diesel contemporary and as much as I liked, still like, yours I value a roof over my head. The wife would not be impressed if I bought another. Still, could be worse places to sleep than in the back of that stunning ZTT.
Coups did you view it, as we did

No I didn't. Just re read the post above and it does suggest I have. I did see the blue one he had in person and that was a beaut. Maybe I was getting a bit carried away with the photos and description! Still think it's gorgeous tho in the solar red.

With the clutch as it is you would struggle to sell it for £600 in honesty and that is a massive blow. Get one of the forum wizards to do the clutch it will cost approx £500 but then you would get nearer the original £1500 asking price. Good luck matey.

If as you say the previous owner had recently had the clutch done could it be that it is still under warranty ?
Maybe worth giving SirRustalot a message and find out

I don't want to upset anyone but if in the condition that I seen it, I would sell as is, if you spend to get the clutch fixed you would honestly be trying to sell on and your outlay would be up at £2000 if you paid the £1500 asking price it was up for when it was trying to get sold on here
