Default 2003 MG ZT+ 2.5 V6 190 Saloon Monogram Celestial

**FOR SALE** with very heavy heart

"Celeste"

MG ZT 2.5 V6 190 in Monogram Celestial...
One of only 7 built, only 3 others are known to still exist. Mine was the only one built to this spec.

Spec is quite lengthy so is as follows:
2003 '52 plate' MG ZT+ Saloon
2.5 litre V6 Manual 190bhp,
Monogram Celestial paint,
MG 11 Spoke Alloys,
225/45/18 Land sail budget (4mm) rear tyres,
225/45/18 Pirelli Cintaurano (4mm) fronts tyres,
Apex 30mm Lowering springs,
Monogram Heated Royal Blue Alcantara Seats (car has plugs and loom for electric adjustment should you wish to retrofit electric seat bases),
Highline TV & Satnav System with Becker BM24 Highline amplifier and Mk3 Satnav drive,
Alpine MP3 6-Disc CD Changer,
Projector Headlights,
Message Centre IPK,
Rain Sensing Wipers and Auto Dimming Rear Mirror,
Electric Rear Sunblind,
Cruise Control,
Powerflow Cat-Back Stainless Steel exhaust system,
K&N Panel filter,
Celestial colour coded engine bay,
Sweet Rattle-free Upper Inlet Manifold,
VIS Motors...uprated latest generation motors from 'Stocktake' featuring uprated circuit board and solder joints, uprated micro switches and resistors, self-testing buttons and operate through oil sealed bearings,
3 Speed Cooling fan with new fan motor brushes, working on all speeds.
All panels are straight except for a small dink on the boot lid and a rust patch on the bottom of the drivers door where it looks like it was opened on a very high kerb.

Onto some more details:
Car had covered 106k when the camshaft snapped during cranking. Fearing the worst I sourced a car from a well respected forum trader and mechanic. That 190 engine had 89k and was installed by him and myself. It has had a full cam belt and water pump replacement, also had a new thermostat too and all fluids drained and replaced. The clutch and slave cylinder were also replaced for new.
The odometer is now showing 115,000 miles having covered a little over 9,000 miles since the engine swap. It has been declared to DVLA and the V5C reflects this.
I have also replaced both front calipers for genuine brand new MG Rover ones.
Car has been maintained, serviced and detailed more frequently than is necessary

Onto the bad bits:
Air con has a leak, it was never cold when I bought the car, when I had it re-gassed after the engine swap there were fluid bubbles at the shraeder valve so possibly that front pipe, I have got a replacement one from a car with known fully working aircon, just not got round to fitting it yet.
Catalytic Convertor has started to rattle a bit,
Discs could do with replacements,
Alloys are presentable but would benefit from a refurb,

I have the service book and loads of paperwork with the car, invoices and receipts for various works.
Love the car but my commute has just got too costly and I need to move over to diesel. I've driven all over in this car and would take her anywhere without a second thought. On a run she can as much as 39mpg with my daily average mpg over the last 9,000 miles being 30.7mpg. Gonna be really gutted to see her go but needs must unfortunately as I now have a commute of 90 miles a day and the V6 is just too thirsty.

Price is £1750 as she sits, and is located in West Yorkshire.

Any questions feel free to ask either here or PM. Advertising it here for a bit before I put her on Auto Trader.

We'll see. Most enthusiasts generally don't dip into their pockets deep enough though unfortunately. Lol

Cheers Steve...I always regret listing a car. Secretly hoping there won't be any takers, but I have to be sensible.

There is a deliberate higher price as everyone wants money off, this is negotiable because of the few issues that need looking at.
As time goes by these will be rectified and negotiating won't be an option. I'd rather keep her

Nice looking car. Alas I have nowhere to park such a beauty. Good luck with the sale.

Stating the obvious perhaps but could you not fit LPG? Then you get the running costs of a diesel but get to keep your car.

Worked for me.
