Default observation -duff Bosch Maf

tried an old Bosch MAF (only 6k on it but it had been giving uneven idle) again over the last few days after I took the Synergy/Pierburg off the car. It was right as rain... and I was beginning to think that something else had solved that problem at the time (like cleaning pcv or egr)

Yesterday and today - damp weather returns - MAF playing up again and erratic around the 2,000 rev mark (it was Feb when I took it off)
Has anyone else noticed humidity making a difference to MAF function?
