MG6 Magnette SE Now £5750?
I am an ex ZT owner and looking for a nice lpg MG ZTT to eventually replace my factory lpg Focus Estate daily car. Out of curiosity I recently bought an MG6 Magnette for weekends. I am very pleased with it. The is well built, quality of switchgear etc is excellent, it handles really well, the 1.8 turbo engine is sweet and is a real pleasure to drive. I have decided I like the MG6 but a saloon is does not work well with the family dog (has to stay home!)so next car is the hatchback version in orange.
So, my MG6 is now on Gumtree at £6450. I am happy to discount it to club members at £6250 or near offer. 2012 model, just 3 years old. Gleaming 'pitch black' paintwork. Factory colour coded body kit Nice charcoal interior. SE specification includes: Cruise control Front & rear electric windows Electric mirrors Interior light pack Alloys (lovely!) Colour Satnav /radio/CD Climate control Front and rear parking sensors Drivers trip computer Fog lights Traction control Probably things I have forgotten! 35000 miles Full service history with stamped book and bills. MOT March 2016 Recent brake pads/discs 5 good tyres, 4 loads or tread, spare unused. Lots of things are changeable, eg the traction control can be switched off, and lights can be set to stay for a while when you park etc. Fantastic value for money, and as MG intend stopping building the saloon and petrol models this already rare petrol saloon may become collectable sooner than we thought! Only bad points I can think of are usual bonnet paint chips, but nothing serious. Car can be seen at our club parking area 'U' at the Pride of Longbridge event this Saturday 18th April. I will try to insert some photos on here but if I fail, you may find it on Gumtree. Thanks for looking Adrian Last edited by Dart2050; 13th May 2015 at 18:05.. Reason: Photo |

If you check the Members' Cars for Sale section, you'll see a wonderful ZTT V6 2.5 with LPG being sold by guru. I so wanted to buy that car but the insurance industry dictated otherwise ...

Unfortunately you are in the price bracket where people need finance to enable a purchase and most people buy from a dealer. It's so difficult to sell cars of this value privately, I'd to sell my BMW just before I bought my Rover and it was going for £14,000 and it was nigh on impossible. I wish you luck though and at least the post gets another wee bump

I saw the Union Flag MG6 at Pride of Longbridge today. Guy was asking £6500 and said he had t sell to buy a van. Apparently is is a one-off by MG and appears on YouTube advert. No-one interested in my car today, perhaps I should have parked with the 6's rather than with our Forum!
Did see some lovely ZTs and 75s though. Lots ofphotos taken. |

I might be persuaded to let her go for a shade under £6k. They have stopped making these petrol saloons now so something more in common with out ZT's !
