Thanks Jeff. Those bumbles are tricky. The small hairs really show up any movement. Lots of duds to get that good one.
I like using my sigma 60mm with extension tubes so much, I have traded in my Tamron 90mm macro for a sigma 30mm. It is the same family as the sigma 60mm and gets equally good reviews. So here is hoping the deal goes through. Last edited by Rocket; 5th April 2016 at 14:29.. |

I have my new 30mm DN Art sigma lens.
Trouble is, it is cold overcast and raining. Sony A6000 with Sigma 30mm DN F2.8 Art lens by Paul, on Flickr Sony A6000 with Sigma 30mm DN F2.8 Art lens by Paul, on Flickr |

Fantastic morning. Dew on the grass. Sun on your back. Mist in the trees. Blue sky with wispy white clouds and err mud in the fields.

First sighting for me this year. (Rubbish pics but hey)
The world feels correct again now. Woodpeckers are drumming and laughing. Saw 4 butterflies and a few honey bees also. Seen some before but not all on the same day. First swallow 2016 by Paul , on Flickr First swallow 2016 by Paul , on Flickr |

I took a few pics of flowers today as the insects have all hidden. (bar one)
Note the small spectator bottom right in the wallflower pic No idea what the red flower is I did not realise what fantastic flowers the dead nettles have because they are so tiny, they are easily overlooked. A few more on Flickr. Wallflower by Paul , on Flickr Flower by Paul , on Flickr Dead Nettle by Paul , on Flickr |
