Exclamation Yellow Circle dash light

Yesterday I turned the key and noticed a light appear. Its a yellow circle with dashes around with an explanation mark in the middle.

I only bought the car a few days ago and don´t have a manual.

Could any one tell me what this light is for. I`m hoping nothing major

Thanks

I think that is a bulb out.

Check all lights, especially number plate and stop lights if not obvious.

I'll go and get my manual as I'm often wrong.

I did have a good check of the bulbs last night including the number plate ones after having a read of a thread on here. I could not see any that where gone, I´m pretty sure though that is what the light is for?

That's a definite on the bulb warning.

There are two festoon type bulbs in the number plate light. Favourite would be a tail light. If a rear tail light fails the stop light illuminates at lower voltage to substitute for the failed tail light.

if a rear side light out the brake light will work on low power. make sure both side are in the same place.
