Speed related ticking noise

My ZT seems to be making a ticking noise as though a stone is in tread....I tried taking the four metal centre caps off as when one was loose before it sounded similar but its still there ? Any ideas...got to be something silly ..but quite irritating

Have you checked your tyres Keith? Had something similar on my old Impreza, turned out to be a round head screw stuck in one of the 3 month old tyres

We found a loose brake warning lead which has now been re clipped ... not been out yet but hopefully that will solve it.

Well that didn't fix it so wheels off next weekend for a proper check over

I had a weird one, intermittent speed related rotational tapping noise then lost the friction material off a front brake pad! When replacing the pads the friction material fell off another two of them! With the new pads the noise had disappeared

Pads weren't that low, no idea what make they were, too dirty and corroded to make anything out.

check inside of tyres as well keith ..on mine the suspension had started to buckle and was causing tyre to rub against screw head on the wheel inner liner..worth a look.

Not a ticking, but I had a new Dunlop65 tyre inner wall delaminate on a Mini years ago.

When I took the tyre off I saw that about a third of the wall had ballooned out, and rubbed on the shock absorber. Dunlop replaced the tyre, with no argument.........

Identified noise as handbrake cable, so hopefully an easy fix...........if I cant stop the noise temporary before Friday it will have to wait till after National when I can get cables and handbrake shoes replaced
