4k hdr.
I have bought a Sony Android tv with 4K HDR, I don't seem to get a superior picture, is it because I get my tv signal from a co-ax cable coming out of the wall?, I live in managed accommodation so have to use the installed aerial. Thanks, John.

If you're watching Freeview, you won't get the benefit of 4K or HDR, as there are currently no broadcasts in either 4K or HDR.
Best bet is to search on Youtube for 4K videos, or sign up to Netflix or Amazon Video, as both services have a limited range of films and TV programmes in 4K (aka UHD) and HDR. Cliff

Netflix do a monthly 4k subscription for 8 or 9.99 and have a lot of content...
You will need a high speed broadband connection to go with it or you will suffer from buffering... You need to match the input source with the capability of the TV, you don't get a better picture by default....

I've can watch the opening sequence of the Grand Tour in 4K HDR on Amazon Video over and over again, it's amazing when you actually get to watch a HDR program/film ... rest of the season is a bit naf though

There's always Sky Q or a 4K HDR Bluray player if you don't mind paying for your Ultra Hi Def content

Some channels are available in HD on freeview, although maybe not to a very small % of the population. You will have to look some way down the channel list to find them (100+ I think in my case) and then reconfigure the list order if you want them near the front of it but both ITV and BBC are among those who duplicate their main channels in HD on freeview. I've done this and there is a marked difference in the picture quality over the standard digital tx, the colours are much more vivid, detailed and sharper.
