A lot of owners move to the Jag marque.
Most are happy but some have regrets !

It's the logical brand to move on to if we ever sold ours.
Just wish modern cars had an appealing interior designed with passion like the 75 was !

The interior like that in Rich400's 75 - black leather seats (or is it a dark grey) - is the nicest I've seen in any car. Really beautiful and suggestive of luxury and refinement, yet also clean and uncluttered. More modern cars are increasingly dull, dark, plasticky or gimmicky.

I looked at early-mid 2000s X-Types as well as 75s, and decided that 75s are better looking from the outside and on the inside.

An XJ I can understand. But S & X-types just don't look good. They look like Jag pastiches.

Which is what they are, really. Bad impressions of the classic sixties cars.

Now that I can understand.

I would still keep a 75 though.

Hi Martin
the seats are charcoal with grey piping.

Default Prep for sale Starter motor contact kit

As the 75 will shortly be heading its way to another club member i thought i would take the opportunity to fit the starter motor contact kit, which i had bought in readiness for any problems some time ago.
I will have to say that these kits are astonishing value for money, and very well made too. The fitting is quite straightforward (once you have worked out the 'other' tapped screw holding the starter on is above and to the right of it) When i saw the wear in the contacts,
I was glad i took the time to fit these to prevent the new owner from having any grief with this.

Agreed Richard

Such a simple kit but majority of garages still insist on fitting a whole exchange motor & billing owners 200-300 quid !
Ignorance about the kit or lack of workshop skills to carry out such a task who knows

The rebuilt motors always seem to be noisier than the OEM original and probably won't last as long due to inferior materials??

We have not had a failed motor yet on a 75ZT ........always the solenoid.
