And if it reversed track as some reports say and radar contact was lost ~ 02.40 then that would explain the search in the Straits of Malacca.

However, and if true, then reports of passenger mobile phones being contacted but not answered would also point to dry land rather than water submersion.

Edit: Then again, maybe not according to one expert re ringing mobiles. Apparently while you would expect that when you hear a ring tone the phone is on and in working order that may not actually be the case.

I think there is something the authorities know, but are keeping quiet about. It all seems very, very odd.

Any aircraft which goes down to low level, will disappear from radar. Phones don't usually show ringing, when the phone isn't actually ringing. If a phone can be made to ring, they can get a rough idea of where the phone is from the cell it connects to.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

Now saying the communications systems were switched off deliberately and the plane could have flown for up to 6 hours after contact was lost.

If it looks a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck!

It seems the Malaysians aren't really sure about anything. They don't seem to know which sea/ocean it could have crashed into.

Going by what they're saying now, that the comms were deliberately switched off, it may not have crashed.

True but it seems to change all the time. Tomorrow it will be 'oh we think it flew to Australia'.
