Loving all the jokes team.

I googled

banana leaking radiator

out of curiosity...and found an Australian Nissan Patrol forum where one guy wrote:

I drove around with a banana in the radiator, worked for about 1000 km before the replacement radiator arrived. The older the banana, the better.
I spilled a bit of the banana on the air intake piping, and a week or so later the banana changed into something like chewing gum, I figured that is the way it worked inside the radiator as well.

Do Mythbusters need another task?

That's the only day you can get a Banana milk'shake' on the back of a low loader as well.

Glad all is well now Bob. All this talk about bananas triggered a memory; when I was a cub in secondary school- very early on- some people from Tesco or Safeway- cannot remember which one- visited our 'Home Economics' class with some samples of a drink that we all called Banana-ade. Yes. Fizzy banana flavored pop.

There were a few different versions in various shades of yellow.

I liked it; it was generally seen as a novelty by the majority of the class and sadly it came to nought.

Interesting. I've got an unopened bottle of Banana liqueur. The bottle is shaped like a big bunch of banana's.

Stick it in the freezer Bob for a few hours, it's absolutely delicious when it's drunk at below 0C.
