What a lovely collection Bob, I can see you are a bit of a poser like me...

I can also see you were just starting to go grey back then.

Thanks Simon, but I doubt if that shirt would fit anymore.

That is a late one that you have! If I still had mine I would have seriously considered putting a 5 speed SD1 box in it.

Great cars though. Well ahead of their time.
I wish I had kept mine!

One near us 10/12 cars in the garden all bar one totally rotten. I think it's hoarding thing.

I remember about 30 years ago I tried to buy a derelict BMW Isseta bubble car that had not moved for years.

But the elderly owner did not want to part with it.

I noticed one day it had gone and knocked on the door. It was opened by his daughter who said her father had died and the car was sent for scrap.

Wonder how many cars end like that ?

Seeing all these posts makes me want too get one badly before they all go extinct.

I've always like the shape of them and styling behind it too, Sure a lot of people give the SD1 a hard time, due too British Leyland and all, but you can't deny its a cracking looking machine with a lovely soundtrack of V8 engine.

I will have one someday don't care how it takes I will HAVE ONE!!!!!!!!!!

Plenty i would think, people leave it too late to say it's all getting a bit too much and rather than move them on to someone who can still use and enjoy them, they end up getting scrapped.
