Reviving a 10-year-old thread...oops!

Just a few thoughts...

EXTERIOR
  • Reinstate Project Drive items (NVH especially)
  • Sweep-to-centre front windscreen wipers (easier to manufacture for a all markets)
  • 'Bullet' wing mirrors with integrated LED side repeater indictors (Bentley Continental GT-esque) with puddle lights
  • Trim the Premium grille so the top half remains with a lower full-width grille with fog lights across the lower bumper
  • HID projector dipped beam headlamps with halogen projector main beam (HID main as an option)
  • 'Angel eyes' LED Daytime Running Lights (outer headlamps)
  • 'Angel eyes' LED indicator (inner headlamps)
  • Redesign the BMW 'claw' mechanism for opening the bonnet so that the Rover badge (redesign IMO) takes the place of the 'claw'
  • Split opening tailgate (Range-Rover-esque)
  • Puddle lights in door handles
  • Soft-closing doors | bootlid (saloon) | tailgate (Tourer)
  • Electrically-assisted closing bonnet
  • Umbrella and parasol located in each door
  • Redesign rear lights (Rolls-Royce Ghost-esque) - LED
  • Oval chromed exhaust tip either side of the rear bumper with appropriate bumper redesign to accommodate them (6- & 8-cylinder)
  • Trapezoidal chromed exhaust tip either side of the rear bumper with appropriate bumper redesign to accommodate them (V12)
  • Option for wheels (Meteor especially) to have colour-coded centre caps and spoke detail (as an option)
  • Reversing camera
  • Front-view camera (lower grille mounted)
  • Full-length panormaic sunroof - fixed (option 1)
  • Full-length panormaic sunroof - front half opening (option 2)

INTERIOR
  • Electrically-adjustable steering column (using magnets for up-down / fore/aft movements (quieter, lighter, cheaper))
  • Electrically-adjsutable interior mirror
  • 14-way electrically-adjustable front seats, 3-user memory (standard)

    - trip information (instant/average mpg | range | trip A | trip B | traffic messages | outside temperature warnings
    - satellite navigation (Google Maps - updated over Internet) - not linked to automatic gearbox software

    - multi-cone speaker in each door (circular grille)
    - multi-cone speaker on either side of dashboard (circular grille)
    - multi-cone speaker on either side of hatshelf (circular grille) (saloon)
    - multi-cone speaker on each E-pillar (circular grille) (Tourer)

You could easily argue this is the mk3 exterior and interior.
