Thumbs up NEC Classic Motor Show 2016

I've just had advanced confirmation that after a hiatus of one year, the 75 & ZT Owners Club will once more be granted a club stand at the NEC show in November

They have yet to send through the size of stand we will be allocated but it's a major boost to the club to have a presence there, especially to mark our 10th birthday.

When we know more about the space we have been allocated, I can let folk know which members cars we will be exhibiting as well as details of tickets to the show etc.

What I'd like to do this year is put together a slide show of members with their cars, so if you fancy having your car and yourself appear on the video screens we use at the event, take a selfie by your car preferably in landscape mode not portrait (the correct TV friendly rectangular shape) and email it to me at [email protected] and I'll see about putting a nice sequence together for the show

The show runs from 11th - 13th November, and the club's official launch date was on 5th November 2006, so only 10 years and a week before the show.

I'll try and get a photo done! Just to clarify 'landscape' is that 4:3 (traditional photo dimensions), 3:2 or 16:9 ? (I can also do 1:1 natively with my lx - but I think that's neither landscape nor portrait ) - Maybe you could also use some 'nice' mechanical type shots : i.e Engine bays of the various engine bay configs complete and part disasembled - maybe a nice clean floor pan showing the suspension, and maybe some interior shots showing all the various options (e.g. monogram interiors). Just some Ideas - the show runs for a long time so I'm sure you could get through a photo a minute on something like that (26 1/2 hours x 60 = 1,590 ) So... if you want to do something special and make a photo slideshow that never repeats all weekend you need lot's of pictures - And even longer I guess to sort them out!

We already have a slide show that we run of promotional stills issued by MG Rover Group which display the various variants, colour schemes and even certain celebrities known to have been associated with the car.

They illustrate the vehicle in a professional light which is great, but lack the 'Club' connection with all our various members who are proud owners.

As regards to format, as long as the general shape is width larger than height, then we can accomodate. What I can't use is anything taken on a smartphone held up directly so that the image is tall and thin.

Obviously the higher quality resolution the better, these images will be displayed on two 16:19 LED television screens on our stand.
