Default Charity Meet

Hi everyone,
Just before I start I want to say this isn't David writing this, it’s his better half Laura (sorry I just had to put that in while David wasn't here haha). Anyway I'm trying to organise a meet in Milton Keynes on Saturday 17th September 2016 with fellow MG and Rover drivers, this is to raise awareness and money for a great charity that is very close to my heart and to be fair our hearts as a family.
Let me tell you more about the charity, Rhiley’s Smile.
A few years ago now a little girl named Rhiley Kim Bennett who was 2 years old was struck down with an illness and within three weeks due to progression she was in unbelievable pain and was being told it was just a viral infection. In those three weeks she lost the use of her legs, severe weight loss, loss of appetite and unable to empty her bladder, after going to the hospital on a number of occasions the doctors didn't find anything wrong until that fateful day, her parents heard the worst thing they could ever be told, their baby had cancer.
AT/RT tumours were discovered on her brain and spine, this is a very rare and very aggressive form of cancer. This tumour leaves no remorse, children 3 years and younger are left with a mere 15% or less chance of survival.
On the 23rd April 2015 Rhiley's mummy and daddy had to watch their baby grow her pretty angel wings in their arms.
The charity Rhiley’s Smile was set up by her parents to raise money and awareness for AT/RT tumours and they also, at special occasions such as Christmas and Easter, give gifts to poorly children in hospital to show they are not forgotten about.
I also include her charity website for anyone to have a look at if they so wish http://www.rhileyssmile.co.uk/
This is a 3rd party website and as such the club has no responsibility over it.
So what am I wanting I hear you ask, well I want to know how many would like to come to this event to raise money and awareness. Please everyone it will hopefully be a lovely weekend, were trying to get someone to organise some food and drinks in the form of probably a burger van.
Rhiley's Smile will hopefully have their stall set up there to and I am hoping to get a tombola running on the day. We will not only appreciate your attendance and donations on the day but we would also welcome any donations for prizes towards the raffle.
We hope someday someone will find a cure for all the little ones left fighting this big monster.
So come on everyone please put your name in the post below and as soon as I get confirmation of the venue and events on the day I’ll let everyone know. We also plan to have a little awards ceremony with trophies for best Rover 75, best MG ZT and best car over all.
Many thanks
Laura and David

Please be aware this is not an official 75 & ZT Owners Club meet and as such is not covered by the clubs public liability insurance. Also the owners club take no responsibility for the meet in any way.

Due to lack of interest, this event will not be going ahead, thank you for reading and thank you for any support to the 'Rhileys smile' charity.

Thank you so much for your donation, it all makes a difference. This event will be going ahead next year but will be arranged a lot earlier, we have only just been signed up to the Rhileys Smile team so didn't have much chance to gauge interest and get this off the ground. Please everyone visit the facebook page and website for further events and competitions, we are still looking for entrants for the 'name the bunny' competition
Thank you again
