LED failure is common and its usually caused by the default settings which usually has the backlight at maximum, reducing the backlight to 75% and then adjusting the contrast and brightness to give the best ratio will make your LED's run cooler and greatly increase reliability.

I couldn't agree more. If I find I'm actually getting good sales service and the price is competitive (but not the lowest) then I'll still buy from the bricks and mortar store. Most of the larger electrical retailers have both b&m and online stores and you can often make your purchase online and get better discount - then collect from your local store. Bought my current laptop that way 2 years ago and got £100 cashback (which did actually materialise!).

There is a small upside to it as well - as the bigger chains move away from the high streets the smaller local unique traders are able to get a foot in. High streets across the country will slowly begin to look different again instead of all the same.
