Mk3? Hmmm....I woul have to bling it up with chrome...especially on the bumpers...oh and make the bumpers fit as well....which would then give me...
a Mk1 But with all / most of the other weak points fixed |

I'd revert back to the older Rover badge, (I know its down to taste) I can't think of a great deal though TBH, I wonder what it would look like with single round headlamps and a more upright grille, Or maybe a more modern take on the P6 grille, double headlamps but a more overhanging grille, I would make the rear slightly squarer but not a great deal,

I'd re-instate all the project drive deletions and I'd revert to the original pre-facelift design. The 75 didn't come any better than that. ZT looks nicer facelifted IMO.

Here's another option although I don't think they'll be appearing on mine anytime soon: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Rover-75-MGZT-...QQcmdZViewItem

So most people on this thread would, like me, make the Mk3 more like the Mk1 then?

peversely, I hope they don't, so we preserve our originals' specialness!
Ditto, after hoping that they bring out a Tourer body (I imagine that the Chinese as a nation will discover the value of estate cars in the next few years as their lifestyles change) I now secretly hope they dont for the same reason. Time has advanced and sadly, these Roewes are never going to be more than slightly aspirational Peroduas.. remakes of good designs past for peoples/markets who haven't known better. But the world has moved on. |

the Mk3 would be a mk1 with better fit lines (especially bonnet/front grille)
ZT-T: Fold flat rear seats, : Heavy Duty Loadliner (extending up backs of rear seats) :More resilient interior in boot area :Loadlevelling on ALL models (inc sports variants) All: ISOFIX child seat fittings Replace 190 with a 230 model (with better low down torque) poss a 3.0 litre V6 or Vtec??) 4wd Option (OK I've heard that option was Ko'd by BMW, but..) V8: Obvious really, shove in the Quadcam Mustang engine... Or build a KV8 (was this ever tried?) Best Option: Tie up with Honda, nick all the VTEC bits, awesome build quality, reliability and most of all their dealer training system!! |
