If i had known what a reaction this would prevoke i would never have posted it to be honest,i have found that there are plenty of tyre snobs and a lot of scare mongering,at the end of the day i will buy the best tyres my budget allows and i do not wish to be called a child killer or being accused of putting a price on life because i cant..its priceless. We would all love a nice shiny set of pirrelli p zeros all round but sadly we are not all in a position to buy them. There are a lot of people that talk sense but there are also a lot of condisending people too. Thanks for all the advice from the people that have helped.I think this thread has run its course now.

As Mark has said, there are various schools of thought on the subject of budget versus premium brands, at the end of the day you pays ya money and ya takes ya choice. I have always bought budget tyres and I do a lot of motorway driving. I have never experienced any problems, but that’s just me.
In any event, the thread was started to field suggestions on where to obtain inexpensive tyres and after 132 replies the topic has been more than covered. As requested by the OP, thread now closed. |
