It doesn't look as if there was ever any rust proofing from day one. |

What's even more amazing is thanks to the skill of the mechanic in the video, that car got a fresh mot less than a month later.
Needless to say, it's now been waxoyled to infinity and beyond. Registration number AEZ 1434 |

I've received the quote for repairs to the doors,
I could purchase a good condition Connoisseur with it so we will wait and see what Jaguar say. |

Fingers crossed Jaguar come good for repairs as to me it's a manufacturing fault so should be fixed at there cost. Is there other instances of other owners suffering the same? I still can't believe that the sound deadening was like a sponge holding all that water.

So far no one has said they have this problem, even the body shop said they had never seen anything so bad.
Just my luck and with a car that's only done 45k, 20k of of that since we purchased it just over two years ago. On the Jag forum one member has posted a photo of his and it looks like they're sprayed on as his shows a double overlap pattern whereas mine is just a single layer. The pads have dried out now sitting in the house. Good luck with that spring !! |

Issue is now in Jaguars hands.
I've finally managed to compile some photos along with a nice letter which has been emailed this morning. |

Well after a Jaguar not wanting to get involved with my complaint against local main dealer Parks Jaguar, what do you think they have offered regarding the severe corrosion on the front doors of the XF.
Absolutely nothing which I think is appalling. To think that a so called quality up market car can have doors which corrode so bad it's right through to the paintwork on the outside and Jaguar just want to quote their six year warranty period has expired. I will of course be replying to Jaguar and You can bet will not let this go unnoticed. I have added another photo which shows severe corrosion on the front window mechanism. This is the N/S which I removed for inspection. I had to replace the O/S window mechanism which drew my attention to this door corrosion. |
