Just finished reading and taking everything.
Its just shocking, Jesus Jim really feel for you on this, You would expect a new car too last for a very long time before it starts rusting, but for it too happen so early suggests its a factory flaw by the Jaguar engineers. My dad's had quite a few jags mainly the 80's 90's jags and they did have problems back then for the metals they used, the XJ Sport and the XJ8 had corrosions issue too, but after 93 onwards it was corrected and no major problems like that for those models. Till the S-type and the X-type came In, I had one which I saved and beep me it was rusty as beep. 80's/ 90's jags were the best, anything onwards I stay away from. With your permission can I show this thread too my close mate Mathew please he's jaguar specialist in North Wales Llandudno junction know him very well. He might have encounter this already or not. He used too work Haywood Liverpool the Jaguar factory and he left due too some of the derisions made by Jaguar I think its down too build quality as he always states when we chat. These days its all about the money and not quality that we used too have.

We were invited to a wedding but as the venue is one of Costleys places I refused to attend. The missus agrees with me on that one. Good luck with a Trading Standards, I found them as much use as an ashtray on a bike. Quote:
I will let you all know if and when the story appears in the magazine but they wouldn't go to the trouble of taking the photos for nothing. |

Keep us in the loop Jim. Recently I have heard some other horror stories, all very sickening. I wish you the best outcome now, Taggarts are very well respected and you're car once done should be like new.

You're not alone Jim, we've had two Dacia's and had to reject them both due to faults/problems. Its put us off from buying new, currently waiting on a refund which seems to be taking longer than expected.

Get out and buy this weeks Auto Express guys, I'm on page 22 issue 1481.
It's an excellent article, not sure about the guy in the photo though in fairness I was asked to look glum and disappointed. I cannot thank Auto Express enough as without their involvement the outcome would have been very different. |

Thanks for that but these photos are from yesterday at Parks Jaguar Ayr.
This is a totally different complaint where Parks ripped me off for £760 for unnecessary suspension repairs to pass the MOT. I was sitting outside Parks all day and will continue today, I'm just about to leave for there. Parks called the Police to get me moved yesterday but I was a step ahead as I had already informed the Police I was there. The Police did request that I move my car to the opposite side of the road and slightly further back, then in the afternoon one of Parks staff parked right in front of me in an unsuccessful attempt to block the view IMO. The ball is in Parks court so to speak as they could and should have settled with me last year. They have lost a few customers as a direct result of this complaint and now they're getting a lot of bad publicity about this. |
