I note we have had a few members with water ingress once again after the rainfall we have had in the first week of June, now the weather seems to be picking up maybe time to get those leaks sorted good luck guys.

One of the most wettest Augusts in history this year, so for those whom have not headed the warning of the sun roof drains, hopefully you have not been caught out, remember that the water accumulates over a time not over night, it is only when the carpet can not soak up any more water that you may start to see the evidence in the foot wells and the carpets being wet.

If you have read this thread then you know the only way of sorting out the problem is to do the drain mod, that is after you have removed all the seats console etc to dry the car out properly, if not you will have a bad smell in your car in the very near future.

Not really the time to be doing this sort of work coming into the Autumn for those with a sun roof lift any rubber matts etc and check with the palm of your hands does the carpet feel damp even slightly if so lift them and check, and if you can see any form of et patches then you will most certainly have water under the carpet.

Or try my early warning method !
Do the "stamp" test.

All cars coming through our workshops get this 1 minute test!

Stand outside the car but with one foot in the footwell (front or rear makes no odds)

Put as much weight as you can on each foot well in turn.
There should just be the feeling of spongy padding.
If you feel or hear squelching then there is water under carpets.

Hopefully you can solve the leak before the smell sets in.

As Arctic mentions once the moisture or pool in very bad cases appears on carpet surface, there are literally gallons of water which will have been gradually increasing over quite some time.

So get out there and do the squelch test 😉

Hi Phil.
Sorry to hear you are not up to sorting out the soaked carpets in your car, if you were closer I /we would have got it out of the way for you, I am sure someone closer will come forward and give you the helping hand you need.

Hopefully you will get your strength back in the near future good lick Arctic

Phil.
If it was performed through the artery in your groin you will need more than a few days to recover, when I had mine I was told to take care not to lift heavy items etc as there is a plug in the main vain, so don't get rushing into anything to strenuous or punishing.

Did they allow you to see the screen while performing the angiogram, they did me quite interesting, bit like you getting a personal T4 anyways take care no over doing it.

Yes it was done in the femoral artery, i have taken "this week" off to rest it but getting bored already, the procedure was done on Friday, and i could see the screens, all fascinating stuff and they told me i have a 50% blockage in a small area of the left coronary artery.

End of July I spotted standing water on the carpet behind the passenger seat in Kim. Not had chance to do all mods yet but it's on the list.
I knew the carpet was soaked but needed to get Mo done first so I could have a car while everything is out of Kim.
When I finally get the carpet out I'll be getting another handbrake compensator from Arctic.
