Default Thought I'd fixed the leaking sunroof drains - but no!

When I first got my saloon a couple of months ago I cleared the plenum drains and checked all four sunroof drains by disconnecting them at the point where they exit the interior of the car, blowing up the tube (mouth over the end of the tube - not dynamite, though that could work too) to make sure it was clear, and poking a piece of curtain wire through the lower junction to make sure that was clear too. All was good until today; went fishing, which seemed to spark off a spontaneous cloud-burst. Wife took refuge in the car and then phoned me to report that there seemed to be a lot of water dripping from the roof lining near the passenger's sun-visor and from under the glove-box. I guess I need to go back and check again - I didn't cut off the duck's bill thingy behind the inner wing, so that might have caused a problem. Any suggestions would be welcome!

yes get rid of the duck bills

I have bonded in the drain tubes into the bulkhead joints with gutter sealer (around the outside of the drain tube) which is better than the 'tape' from MGR. The Arctic solution is also excellent with an additional connector

I suspect some debris is stuck in the duck bill

If it's wet up near the sun visor, I'd check the top hose connection where it connects to the sun roof. It is just a push fit.

My wife said the dripping roof reminded her of the 1966 VW camper we owned when we first got married that had a (sort of) sun-roof, actually more like the hatch on a submarine. We had to sleep with a washing up bowl on the bed when it rained to catch the drips - ahhh - nostalgia's not what it used to be!!

Hey guys, my 75 also leaks from the roof trim/sun visors. Whats the best way to access the sunroof drain tubes in the roof?
Cheers

Remove the duck bills, this was the only thing I did not do when I did my drains and because the pipes were full of water I still got wet inside the car. I did rod them from inside with a tube but either there is a lot of dirt inside the pipes so they fill up again or rodding is not enough.
