Default what does connoisseur SE spec actually include?

i have just been weighing up the difference between my two 75 tourers, the x power grey is a connoisseur se ,and whilst it had leather heated memory seats,it had no cruise control,no auto dimming mirror or rain sensing wipers and no A pillar airbags, the green tourer is a connoisseur no se spec, yet it has all these features but came with cloth manual seats, they are both facelift models 2004,is it the case that these later cars just got whatever was available at the factory?

They could have all been added as optional extras by the original purchaser.

They list of optional fit extras was quite extensive.

I am aware that 2004 model year Connoissuer's had cloth seats, but leather was fitted to 2005 model year Connoissuer's.

All Connoissuer SE models should have electric leather/heated seats.

I believe near he end of production as parts became scarce it was not uncommon for cars to be fitted out with what was available, or in many cases left out.

Very true, and they did a certain amount of "up specing" with extras to boost sales in 2005 also.

yes it t seems later cars could have quite different specs,i know realise that the auto dimming mirror, rain sensing wipers etc were an option with the drivers intelligence pack,so the only difference between my connie se and the non se was the heated leather seats.well at least all the loom was there under the cloth seats,so an easy upgrade

My 2005 Conni SE didn't have auto dimming mirror or auto wipers. I've recently retro fitted them (thanks to a forum member selling them to me-much appreciated) and they are a must, in my opinion. I came home the other night in drizzly rain and they both performed flawlessly. They made the drive home even more enjoyable!

My 2004 "Classic" has full leather heated electric seats, dimming mirror, rain sensing wipers, heated mirrors, electric windows front and rear,Traffic master.
I don't know if these were retro fit by a previous owner or factory fit.
Apparently Rover were offering a "Value pack" of upgrades in later years to try to boost sales.
