I have to say, we've now had a couple of sets of both our Genuine MG and OEM-Q drop links fail - but that's out of over 1,100 OEM-Q and 700 MG items sold.

We have a no-quibble 2 year warranty in place, so we'll just ping another set straight out if there's a problem.
Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!

OEM-Q - https://www.dmgrs.co.uk/products/rov...inks-rbm100240
Genuine MG - https://www.dmgrs.co.uk/products/pre...inks-rbm100240

These cars are really hard on drop links it seems. My own ZT-T has a set of our OEM-Q items fitted (I'm a Yorkshireman, afterall!) and they've covered 2 MOTs so far without issue. That's a lot of miles, as the car is used heavily daily over very poor roads.

The original drop links on my car lasted at least 8 years in my ownership, and probably the 6 before hand. The only reason they had to be changed was because the gaiters had perished, and I'm annoyed with myself for not keeping them and changing the gaiters. There's clearly something wrong with the replacements that are being sold, aftermarket or otherwise. It's not the cars, it's the drop links IMO.

I thought that, and I guess part of me still does - but it seems every brand has reports of continuous failure.

I thought we were immune - but apparently not!
So far all but 1 pair of ours with a fault was caused by failed gaiters letting grit and water in - so we now use silicone lubricant on the links we have in storage to keep the rubber soft - this will also help them last longer in service.

That's the theory, anyway...

I put a set of links I got from DMGR about 2yeats ago and there still fine although just noticing a crack in one of the rubbers .
Think you can buy the rubbers seperately ?
Roads over here don't seem to bad as well, no salt or crud.

Changed my drop links at the front not long ago. Lasted 90,000 miles. Fitted Delphi and today had a look at them because of a knocking from the front on slightly rough roads. Not the droplinks, so will be buying a set of strut top bearings.

I bought MOOG (federal mogul) ones for my car 3 years ago and they are still perfect. Even the rubbers are fine.

I agree with T16,,I can't see why you would have to tighten the drop links with the car on the ground, when they have the ball joint at each end !!!
