Firstly disconnect the Siemens ECM and fit an IPK from another car, doesn't matter if it's high line or low line. This will confuse T4 enough

Log the car in to T4 using the VIN number.

T4 will come up with a message that it can only read the configuration from one ECU and is this configuration correct.

Select NO.

You will then have to enter the ZCS coding there are 3 screens,First the GM string, then the SA string, then finally the VN string DO NOT forget the Checksum digits when you get to entering the VN string do not press enter or continue until you have completed the next step!

Before continuing and without turning off the ignition, reconnect the ECM and refit the IPK.

Press continue and the new coding will be entered.

Finally check the vehicle configuration screen to check if the coding is correct.

If it says that it's an invalid connfiguration you can always return it to how it was by entering your original ZCS and checksums and then we can try and sort out any problems.

Russ
Thank you Russ for the detailed instructions.
It's clear to me.
That's just where I reach to find the IPK? In the city where I live this car is just me.
Of course, I can buy a IPK but this thing-order is very expensive.
After reconfiguring my car bought IPK will gather dust for a long time.
In this situation I would be better to spend the money to buy the ToolKit Phil and reprogram my car with the help of this program. Maybe this program would be useful for me.
Saw this program in action. There is a video on YouTube. Very useful.

Hi Denis, You could try changing the EWS for another instead of the IPK that would possibly do the same thing

Might be worth a try.

Hello Russ.
I have the EWS from my car Rover 75 2.0V6. Can try to do it using it.
I'm interested in one paragraph in the instructions.
Enter the string VN is not to press the enter key. Without turning off ignition to replace the ECU and click continue and enter the new encoding.
Not turning off the ignition I will change the EWS unit when connecting the unit to the EWS MG ZT190 I won't ruin it? The ignition is in fact included, will not at the time of connection to the EWS high surge? The same thing can happen when you connect the unit Siemens.

I need to change only the line SA?
GM and VN line to record without changing anything?
VN line I have is different from that which you stated.

Hi Denis, you shouldn't damage anything by plugging it in with the ignition turned on. I've done this many times and is in fact the official method recommended by the technical department at Rover. I've not encountered any problems.

Yes you leave the GM and VN strings it's just the SA string that you're changing, what is your VN string I copied it from the video?

It's important to get it correct.

Russ

Well. I believe you.
Tomorrow morning I'll try this method.
My strings
GM 71350221
VN 0200000041

After the procedure I can do so
GM 71350221 (A)
SA 218648C08308024A (A)
VN 0200000041 (?) What is the checksum in this row

I want to clarify one point about the instructions.
First need to connect T4 to the vehicle and turn the ignition on and then disconnect the ECM Siemens and replace the EWS?
Or first need to disconnect the ECM Siemens and replace the EWS and then connect T4 to the vehicle and turn the ignition on?
This item is a bit unclear to me.

Hi Denis, you disconnect the Siemens ECU and change the EWS first then log in on T4. then turn on the ignition and log in with the VIN number otherwise it'll read the Vin from the 75 EWS

So the ZCS you should enter is

GM 71350221 (A)
SA 218648C08308024A (A)
VN 0200000041 (L)

The other VN string would have worked too it only changes the setting from KMB03 to KMB04 which doesn't have any real effect on functionality

Note: On T4 you don't need to use capital letters it doesn't know the difference
If the cooling fan runs all the time with the Siemens ECU disconnected remove the cooling fan Main fuse from the underbonnet fusebox then replace once you've finished.

Hello Russ.
Did everything according to instructions.
Each step is performed correctly. T4 has issued an Invalid configuration.
A new ZCS codes are not recorded.
