1.8 Cranshaft Pulley Fail?

Not 75/ZT but my MGF. Had this annoying whirry whiney sort of noise coming from the crank/oil pump area.
Run engine without alternator belt......noise still there
Replaced water pump, timing belt and tensioner......noise still there
Replaced oil pump.......noise still there

Only thing left to change is crank pulley. The rubber resonator that's set into pulley is cracked and perished. Could it be this that's making the noise?

Minis have all got cracked rubbers - never heard one whine?

i had one in a c5 hd ithat would sing at certain revs. took ages to find that one.

Have a read at this, Paul. Couple of the guys suggested it could be the oil filter that's the culprit...

Thing is, I changed oil and filter when I replaced the oil pump........noise still there

It does sound different to noise on that video too.
Unless it could be an issue with the oil filter head
