Windscreen lower weather strip - ideally new
Looking of the rubber weather strip that fits over the scuttle panel at the bottom of the windscreen. I can't see the part number for it. Ideally looking for a new one if possible please.
Thanks in advance. |

Windscreen weather strip
I don't think this is available, but I could be wrong.
I found a good alternative from www.sealsdirect.co.uk It's under automotive seals (miscellaneous) order code AT2007, price £2.40 per metre. Found it works quite well plus you cut it to your length as the originals tend to shrink. I've just pushed mine on but a bit of silicon sealant would help hold it in place if required. Hope this helps. Martyn |

I think it looks fine personally, the added bonus is you a bit more than you need and just trimmed it to suit. The only slight problem is that when it's warm it may ride up a bit, but only a tiny bit, a bit of silicone sealer may help but I never bothered. Even when I had the screen replaced the fitter thought it was better than the original, which seem to shrink.
Obviously these are only my personal feelings. Good luck, Martyn. |
