I thought just for short a Hop across it would be OK, but Know what you mean, lets use a Gulfstream instead.
Perhaps time to call in either the Air Sea Rescue Helicopters to get us around/over the Coast,
or a Helpful RAF squadron, or even one of those Camera planes of Yours?

A Gulfstream or Lear Jet would be OK John but I'd go for the RAF boys over anyone else - you can guarantee they won't mess up. They're a sentimental bunch and they love doing this sort of thing, particularly with very special bears like Fred.

All you have to do is ask them. We did, and the 109 pilot Geoffrey flew with was an Air Vice-Marshal!

To follow in Geoffrey's shoes or paw prints Fred the Ted has to go to some very special places indeed.

The chateau de Bettembourg is a good starting point for Fred

Very good and with a submarine and the big apple to follow it could be telly time for Fred or even better than the telly with you tube, or even in the crowd at BB eviction night

Note to John:

I've just worked it out.

You would need 647 Rover 75s (2.0 litre KV6) to move the average Royal Navy aircraft carrier at its normal speed.

Calculation is based on HMS Invincible (20,600 tons) which requires 97,000 horsepower.

Alternatively, you could use two English Electric Lightnings (now we're talking).

A pair of those would give you a total of 120,000 horsepower - assuming the afterburners are on - which is easily enough to move HMS Invincible at a stonking good speed (about 33 knots unless I've miscalculated).

The Lightnings would have the advantage over the 75s since, if they got bored with towing, they could naff off to the nearest pub and be back again before anyone on the ship even noticed they had gone.
