Lovely shape car back in the day.

That picture brought a smile to my face, the building looks like a gust of wind will take it down but they have a satellite dish

The MK3 Cortina was my first car, along with an Opel Manta. It was a K reg 1.6 GXL in metallic green with a black vinyl roof, I stupidly preferred the Manta for some silly reason and paid more attention to the up-keep.

I had a few Mk3 Cortinas:-

1972 2000GT in Tawny
1973 2000E in Sebring Red
1976 2000GT in Platinum Silver

They were a bit of a marmite car, you either loved them or hated them.

Could be a Kent if it's a 1.3.

Cropped in a slightly sharpened up. The house main house is a typical colonial house from the 50's off Lunatic Lane. I asked why the name and was told its where the oldies live

Sorry I have run out of thanks. Suffice to say, I liked the look of the car when it came out and was in awe of its design I suspect the car in the photo I posted has done well to have survived for so long. It was nice to see it being used.

Good to see these old cars, I find them so much more interesting than today's bland offerings. Only Ford I ever owned was a corsair estate V4.
