1978 Scimitar GTE

I've been offered the chance of a lifetime on another car which I've always wanted, so with great reluctance, this is for sale.

It's a 1978 Scimitar SE6A GTE. It's done just over 60,000 miles, has unleaded cylinderheads, and is a manual overdrive car.

The huge advantage of this, over other Scimitars, is that it has had the body removed from the chassis, and the chassis completely rebuilt in the last 18 months. It has four Spax adjustable dampers fitted, and has had the majority of the bushes replaced underneath. It has stainless steel exhausts, Wolfrace wheels, and reupholstered leather seats. It has had an excellent respray, and by Scimitar standards, the paintwork is superb.

It's a beautiful car, and vastly better than my other Scimitar, but I just do not have time to complete the project due to the offer of this other car.

Obviously, it's still a project, though extremely close to the road.

There are a few jobs:
fuel leak to solve, believed to be the tank sender
new inner headlights required
handbrake requires adjustment
headlining in the rear of the car needs replaced.


As it's an exceptional example, I'm after £1900 ONO for it.
