But for the fact I needed something heavier ,to tow with [caravan] ,I would still have my MG6, excellent car,well built ,no trouble at all, suggest people stop watching that " top gear" type of biased program and form there own opinions.

Well I agree because I've owned both a 75 and a 6 so far this year and the 6 has been treated rather sniffily by sections of the media I'm sorry to say. Yes it has its quirks - the handbrake takes some getting used to - but it's a very comfortable car that handles well. Makes a good family car because of the big boot and is significantly cheaper than the ubiquitous Focus, which has a smaller load area anyway.

Sometimes it takes a few years for cars to get noticed and then be accepted as an MG. The very same thing happend when the ZR ZS ZT were introduced. The MG purists were up in arms and said they weren't MGs. The MG6 is starting to be seen at MG car shows now in amongst other MGs.
