Wireless question
My ISP is Orange and at home we have their wireless livebox to connect to the internet. My main pc and laptop have wireless G adapters which work fine.
I am currently playing with an old Win98 laptop and was wondering if a PCMCIA wireless B card would connect to the livebox. Anyone know if it would work? |

It would but Slow,
a "G" card wouldn't cost a lot now either. If your Livebox (which I'm not familiar with) has any Ethernet Sockets you could just run a Cable to Laptop if it has Network Facilities. Sorry Can't be of more Help. |

Oops you will need Win 2000 or XP to run that Properly and a more Powerful Processor and Memory, Unfortunately. Sorry about that.
Looks like you are stuck with the Slower System, but will of course still get you On Line OK may still need slightly more Memory though. Give it a whirl Nothing to loose and let us know how you get on. |

Thanks John, it is a bit of fun for me. After having XP with a PC that does anything you ask, it makes a change to have to tweak and prune the OS to get things working(just like the old days)
FYI the Laptop is a Toshiba Libretto 100CT with 7.1 inch screen. Will let you know how I get on. |
