Default What else can you do with a spare wheel?

Having acquired a grown-up spare wheel I have been trying to sell my virgin unspoiled emergency spare on eBay. Trouble is there are 23 others looking for a home ranging from a hopeful £50 to my miserable tenner. As obviously there is no demand we have to think of other uses? Now when I was in short pants - hang on I still am, at least for this summer - we used to covert pram wheels for making racing soap-boxes - so could there be openings here? If you bought four of them you've got the basis for some engineering moon-buggy. So should I be dropping a line to NASA? Could this be the solution to a revival of post Brexit UK based transport policy?

I have two unused ones sitting in the garage, taking "space" ! Free to good home!

Not these days you can't, unless you get it tested and type approved.

Yep been there and done that Andy - and had any that didn't fit in the boot well.

Also used to drill out good wheels to make them fit cars to race.

And sometimes had to fit them the wrong way round - needs must.

My thoughts on this: The age of these tyres, ( 13 to 15 years old) might make them risky, if used. It has been suggested that tyres over 8 years old may show signs of cracking. Any other opinions ?
I replaced my emergency wheel with a standard alloy about 3 years ago because of concerns about the age of the tyre.
