Default Rocker cover gasket

Hi all

My rocker cover gasket is leaking slightly so looking at replacing it

are the 1.8 and 1.8T gaskets the same ? As some websites are telling me a 1.8 na one is not compatible

Thanks John

I believe all 4 cylinder K-series use the same rubber coated shim gasket, though some have the cam sensor hole and others not. This means you can shop around and maybe get a bargain. I bought one recently for a fiver (half price) from a Land Rover shop on eBay.

There appear to be 2 types of gasket, one is a thin stiff card like plastic sheet and the other is much thicker and has a rubber coating.
To be honest I've never found either to seal particularly well on their own so now tend to use the thin ones with a thin skim of silicon around the edge.
