Selling the Yellow Peril **SOLD**
Due to advancing age and an imminent intention to do a house downsize with much more limited garaging space I am reluctantly putting just about the best car I have owned up for sale.
Here’s her Spec: 135+ CDTi manual in Trophy Yellow 2004 registered (currently with my initials on a PP which will be replaced). Mileage & Service: Just under 90100. Service history from new. Factory fitted: E/Sunroof, E/Rear blind, E/Seats, Cruise, Message Centre, Hi Line audio with Sat Nav, 6CD changer, radio and tape player, rear parking sensors, auto dip mirror, rain sensing wipers, dual climate control, lazy windows (windows open and close with key in drivers door lock including sunroof), boot opens on key fob, Xenon headlamps and wash system. After market: Diesel mapping - Synergy 2 – power increase to 160BHP – plug in module easily reversed if you don’t want it – but who wouldn’t? Powerflex engine tie bar bushes. Spares to go with the Car. 2 spare gridspoke wheels with tyres fitted same as those on the car – one already in the boot as a spare. Skinny get-you-home wheel stored. New boxed oil, air and fuel filters. New OEM rear exhaust system section complete with the proper OEM Rover clamp for connecting to the front pipe after the old back section is removed (No problem with the existing but I “thought” I might need a spare – stored in my loft). Set of LED rear lights new in box (from Radioman/Sean) complete with a spare set of LED rings and seals plus an extra set of seals. Unused touchup paint sticks. Haynes 75&ZT service manual No.4292 in new condition. Jobs Done as Forum: Intake bellows. Bonnet release cables. Drains (not really a problem when permanently garaged). Service Status: Very recent engine and gearbox oil changes (within the last 100 miles/ 2 months) and latest service requirements for the mileage/age completed. New front discs and pads all round have covered very low mileage < 500miles. New headlamp power wash pump fitted 2014. MOT successfully done on the 25th September 2015. General: Excellent all round condition. No knocks or supermarket door dings because I don’t take her there. All panels are as they should be. All jacking pads are present. Both keys are present. Interior is fine no marks or damage to upholstery or headlining. Full service tools as supplied (jack, wrench etc etc (car has security on each alloy wheel so a special socket is with the tools). Neither uses nor loses any oil. All service docs, history, owners manual with the car which is great order with nothing needing doing. I’m sure I’ll think of something else after I’ve posted this. If it’s important enough I’ll edit. Sharp intake of breath but considering the condition and the bits to go with the car I am looking for £2250. I’m sure somebody somewhere wants a top of the line diesel Trophy Yellow saloon that they can just drive away and enjoy!! Sorry - did forget something - car has been a non-smoker from new - and that ain't talking about the exhaust. Last edited by denis; 26th October 2015 at 22:23.. |

Will try 190 but not tonight - up early and all that. I do have some around already taken on a camera. I'll try to find them tomorrow or take new while our limited daylight hours allow. By the way, she was March 2011 calendar girl.

Ahhh!!! No, not Banana's friend. Wish I had somewhere safe to park her.
Good luck with the sale Denis, she will be missed. I still have the picture of them parked together at Squerry's Court.

Very nice looking car Denis, and reasonably priced given the care and attention that seems to have been lavished upon her.
Good luck with the sale Brian |

Absolutely fantastic motor. A very good price in my opinion. Well kept and looked after. If there is anyone in the club who have not got a diesel yet, snap his hand off................now.

I'm glad that Yellow Peril has gone to a good home. I very nearly said yes but was beaten to the decision by a whisker.
Congratulations to the new owner.
